Abstract
Aryloxazolines represents potential building blocks in the synthesis of precursors of ESIPT-active sensors. Here we describe the Sonogashira cross-coupling reaction between iodo-containing 2-aryloxazolines and terminal alkynes. The reaction occurs under mild conditions and a range of alkynes was employed leading the formation of a small library of functionalized aryloxazolines.
