Abstract
A novel and economical process for mechanochemical organic synthesis by ball milling performed in rotary evaporator is described. The process parameters, such as molar ratio and feeding amount of reactant, rotation frequency, as well as the number, diameter and material of the milling balls, were investigated in a model reaction. Other four test reactions were then performed using this process. The results indicated that the ball milling in rotary evaporator is practical.
