Synthesis of Bicyclo[3.2.1]-octanone Derivatives by Metal Catalyzed Decomposition of α-Diazomethylketones

Abstract

Highly functionalized bicyclo[3.2.1]-octanone derivatives have been prepared by metal catalyzed decompostion of diazoketones through a net retention of configuration at the benzylic center.
