Inference for (Log) Normal Life Distributions from Small Singly Censored Samples and BLUES

Abstract

This paper presents tables for confidence limits for the parameters, percentiles. and reliabtlities of normal and lognormal life distributions using best linear unbiased estimates (BLUES) from singly failure censored data. These tables also provide approximate confidence limits for singly time censored data. The tables cover n = 2(1)10, r = 2(1)n, and various conlidence levels.
