Abstract
An experiment, involving 83 mohair lots, that was carried out to determine the effect of medullation and CV of fibre diameter on air-flow-measured diameter is reported. It was found that, within the ranges covered, medullation had no apparent effect on air-flow diameter. The CV of diameter did have a significant effect, but this was about half that predicted from theoretical considerations, since it was generally less than 0.5 μm.
