Abstract

Extract

Although there are many similarities between the systemic phycomycoses and aspergilloses of man, there are sufficient clinico-pathological differences to justify their separate discussion. Symmers (Citation1962) discusses the reasons for this distinction. There appears to be little justification at present for regarding the bovine phycomycoses and aspergilloses as separate clinical and pathological entities. However, the distinction may become valid for some of the diseases in cattle and probably will be important for epidemiological reasons.
