In the letter: A New Zealand record for the cat fur-mite, Lynxacarus (Felistrophorus) radovskyi Tenorio (Acarina: Astigmata: Listrophoridae) by Heath and Mariadass (1999), it is briefly reported “that prior to the cat’s intended release on 31/01/97, a hair sample was taken and mites found”.
