A Sirikwa Hole on Mount Elgon

Pages 139-148 | Published online: 26 Feb 2010

Abstract

Mrs. Chapman here describes the excavation of one of the habitation hollows which are the commonest relics of the past west of the Rift Valley. The work was carried out when, as Miss Susannah Pearce, she was a Research Student of the Institute. Sirikwa holes are referred to in their wider context by Dr. J. E. G. Sutton elsewhere in this Volume.
