Methods of veld reinforcement, their action and adaptability to various sites

Abstract

Methods of veld reinforcement are categorised on the basis of the disturbance caused to the vegetation and soil during their application. The extent of mixing of seed and fertilizer with the soil is also considered. Limitations imposed by landscape position and soil erodibility on the use of the various techniques are proposed and the influence of the farming system on the selection of the most appropriate technique is discussed.

Metodes van veld versterking word gekategoriseer op basis van die mate van versteuring wat hul toepassing op plantegroei en grond het. Die mate van vermenging van saad en kunsmis met die grond word ook in ag geneem.
