Abstract
Larvae of Phaenomerus Schoenherr and Tomicoproctus Faust were extracted in association with adult weevils from tunnels of the platypodid beetle Crossotarsus armipennis Lea in Eucalyptus maculata, P. auriceps Thompson and two unnamed species of Tomicoproctus are described and figured. The modified terminal segments and the gut contents of 7bmicoproctus species are suggestive of a cleptobiotic lifestyle. Phaenomerus is thought to be a scavenger.
