From the editor

The first issue of the 65th volume of Scando-Slavica is a special issue edited by Dmitrij Dobrovol′skij, Mikhail Kopotev and Ludmila Pöppel, which includes six contributions based on selected presentations at the EUROPHRAS international conference “Phraseology and Construction Grammar,” which took place in Stockholm, Sweden in August 2017. An introductory text by the guest editors is followed by contributions from Dmitrij Dobrovol′skij, Mikhail Kopotev and Ludmila Pöppel; Igor Boguslavsky; Paola Cotta Ramusino; Olga Boguslavskaya; Daria Kormacheva; and Natalia Ringblom and Galina Dobrova. Although written from different theoretical perspectives, the contributions share a common topic: Russian multiword constructions that possess a certain degree of idiomaticity. These articles are followed by two book reviews: Elina Kahla on Karin Hyldal Christensen’s 2017 monograph The Making of the New Martyrs of Russia – Soviet Repression in Orthodox Memory, and Ronald Kim on Jay Jasanoff’s 2017 monograph The Prehistory of the Balto-Slavic Accent.
