Èstata condotta un'indagine floristica nella fascia alto-montana del massiccio del Sirino-Papa (Appennino lucano) a partire da un'altitudine di circa m 1500 fino alla cima del M. Papa (m 2005). Per quest'area erano già disponibili alcuni contributi; di particolare interesse gli studi di Cavara e Grande e le note più recenti di Caputo dedicate ad entità di particolare interesse fitogeografico presenti sul massiccio.
Le entità ritrovate ammontano a 303; di queste 146 risultano nuove per l'area, mentre non è stato possibile confermare la presenza di 34 entità precedentemente citate in letteratura per la fascia altitudinale presa in esame.
La flora sommitale del massiccio del Sirino-Papa mostra il netto prevalere dell'elemento eurasiatico, in massima parte rappresentato da entitàcon areale a baricentro orientale, associato ad una bassa presenza di mediterranee e ad una significativa rappresentanza di endemiche. Questo quadro corologico è collegato ad un disturbo antropico limitato.
Oltre a Vicia serinica Uechtr. et Huter, specie esclusiva del massiccio, il contingente endemico comprende numerose entità ad areale alquanto circoscritto, quali Viola pseudogracilis Strobl subsp. pseudogracilis, Erysimum pseudorhaeticum Polatschek, Potentilla rigoana T. Wolf, Cerinthe auriculata Ten., Brachypodium genuense (DC.) Roemer et Schuhes, o estremamente limitato, quali Campanula pollinensis Podlech, Asperula calabra Ehrend, et Krendl, Festuca dimorpha Guss, e Festuca jeanperti (St-Yves) Markgr.-Dannenb. subsp. campana (N. Terracc.) Markgr.-Dannenb. Vengono inoltre segnalate per la prima volta per la Basilicata Hypericum richeri Vill, subsp. richeri, Helianthemum oelandicum (L.) DC. subsp. alpestre (Jacq.) Breistr., Cuscuta epithymum L. subsp. kotschyi (Desmoulins) Arcangeli, Mentha arvensis L. e Agropyron panormitanum Parl.
Authors carried out a floristic exploration of the higher region of Sirino-Papa massif (Lucania Apennines) from m 1500 to the top of M. Papa (m 2005). Previous studies for this area are those by Cavara and Grande and most recently by Caputo on some relevant taxa present in the area.
A list of 303 collected or observed taxa is given, 146 of which are new records for this area; 34 previously recorded taxa were not found during the present study.
The mountain flora of the massif shows a notable eurasiatic component; a very consistent number of taxa has an eastern-centred range; a high number of endemites and a low number of mediterranean taxa was found. This corologic situation is an indication of a low anthropization.
Among the endemics Vicia serinica Uechtr. et Huter is known only for this area; of special interest are: Viola pseudogracilis Strobl subsp. pseudogracilis, Erysimum pseudorhaeticum Polatschek, Potentilla rigoana T.
