1 Alexei Miller, a distinguished historian whom I interviewed as part of my dissertation research, was the one who drew my attention to Volsky's memoirs when asked about attempts to change the ethnic structure in the Soviet Union. I am grateful for his lead.
2 The Turkish people should know that their common life with the Kurds for a thousand years under the flag of Islam was based on a solidaristic and fraternal law. In the real meaning of this fraternal law, there is not and should not be conquest, denial, or annihilation.
