Estimation of the Energy Efficiency of Oil Production and Pipe-line Transportation Systems

&
Pages 1215-1220 | Published online: 10 Sep 2007

Abstract

The method of energy use effectiveness of oil production and pipe-line transport systems by the efficiency test is suggested. The concept of idealized analogs of the processes for calculation of the minimum necessary energy/work consumption on their realization is used. The idealized analogs, under the assumptions made for their forming, are described. Determining the theoretic energy consumption is based on methods of hydraulic and thermodynamic analysis.

Notes

1 In the general case, it is necessary to add to this value the energy expenditure for transportation of produced oil along a well, which is conditioned by hydrodynamic resistance. In the present article, the component is not taken into account by virtue of its slight value.
