Impression management training: Conceptualization and application to personal selling

This article addresses the need for knowledge about impression management as a communication phenomenon in the training industry. The article discusses the importance of impression management, as a communicative phenomenon, in a variety of real‐world contexts, provides a comprehensive conceptualization of the impression management process, and demonstrates how this conceptualization of the impression management process can facilitate effective training of salespeople.
