Abstract
Social service agencies that depend on volunteers need high quality personnel, so they need reliable and valid selection systems for screening candidates. In this article, the utility of structured interviewing for volunteer selection is explored, and the development of a structured interview for volunteer selection is reviewed. Finally, results of initial analyses supporting the reliability and validity of the structured interview are discussed.
