Pages 146-156 | Published online: 18 Dec 2017

Abstract

Falls are a major cause of injury, disability, dependence, and even death among elderly people. Various exercises and activities will improve musculoskeletal strength and thus reduce the risk of falling and the risk of injury when falls do occur. Proper shoes and a safe exercise environment will decrease patients' chances of falling while engaged in the very activity that is supposed to help them prevent falls.
