Abstract
Two ternary coordination polymers of {(H2bipy)[Cd(H2L)(H2O)2)]}n·2n(H2O) (1) and [Cu2(H2L)2(bpp)2(H2O)2]n·n(H2O) (2) (H4L = 4-(3,4-dicarboxyphenoxy)benzene-1,2-dicarboxylic acid, 4,4′-bipy = 4,4′-bipyridine, bpp = 1,3-bis(4-pyridyl)propane) were hydrothermally synthesized via the dual-ligand self-assembly strategy and structurally characterized. Luminescence measurement shows that the solids of 1 show intense luminescence at room temperature, and photocatalytic activity investigation indicated that the solids of 2 are photocatalytically active for the degradation of methyl violet (MV) under UV light irradiation. Furthermore, the therapeutic effect of the compound on gastric ulcers was evaluated in this research. The inflammatory cytokines released into the gastric secretion were measured with an ELISA assay.
