Multiplicative *-Lie type higher derivations of standard operator algebras

Abstract

Let A be a standard operator algebra on an infinite dimensional complex Hilbert space H containing identity operator I. Let pn(X1,X2,,Xn) be the polynomial defined by n indeterminates X1,,Xn and their multiple *-Lie products and N be the set of non-negative integers. In this paper, it is shown that if A is closed under the adjoint operation and D={dm}mN is the family of mappings dm:AB(H) such that d0=idA, the identity map on A satisfying dm(pn(U1,U2,,Un))=i1+i2++in=mpn(di1(U1),di2(U2),,din(Un)) for all U1,U2,,UnA and for each mN, then D={dm}mN is an additive *-higher derivation. Moreover, D is inner.
