Danilyn Rutherford
Danilyn Rutherford is President of the Wenner-Gren Foundation. She is the author of Raiding the Land of the Foreigners: The Limits of the Nation on an Indonesian Frontier (Princeton University Press 2003), Laughing at Leviathan: Sovereignty and Audience in West Papua (University of Chicago Press, 2012), and Living in the Stone Age: Reflections on a Colonial Fantasy (University of Chicago Press, 2018). Her latest book, The Other Side of Signs: A Life and Some Lessons on the Making of Social Worlds is under contract at Duke University Press.
