Abstract

The complexes of 2-alkoxycarbonylpropyltin trichlorides with hexamefhylphosphor-amide (HMPA) and N-(2-hydroxyphenyl)-2-hydroxy-l-naphthylaldimine (H2L) have been synthesized and characterized by means of elemental analyses, IR and 'II NMR spectra and an X-ray single crystal diffraction study. The spectral data indicate that these complexes are all six-coordinate tin compounds. The crystal structure of MeOCO-CH(CH3)CH2SnCl3HMPA shows that the tin atom adopts a distorted octahedral geometry via the oxygen atoms of HMPA and intramolecular carbonyl group.
