Abstract

A few boron compounds of the general formula PhB(OH)(RCONR′O) have been synthesized by the reaction between phenylboronic acid and hydroxamic acids, RCONR′OH (R=R′ = aryl). These have Seen characterized by elemental analysis, infra-red, UV, 1H NMR spectra and molecular weight determinations. They are found to be non-electrolytes in nitromethane.
