Abstract
Reactions of RuCl2(PPh3)3 with the ligands of the type RCSNHCOOC2H5 (R = 2-pyrrole, 2-thiophene, 1-pyrrole or 4-toluene), R1CSNHCOR2 (R1 = 2-pyrrole; R2 = NH2, NHPh) and 2-thiopyrrole-1,2-dicarboximide lead to the formation of diamagnetic compounds of the formula [RuCl2(LH)2(PPh3).xCH2Cl2 (x = 0, 1/2 or 1). These compounds were characterized by analytical, magnetic, conductivity and spectroscopic (UV, VIS, IR and proton NMR) data. A quasi-octahedral geometry is proposed for the complexes.
