The Synthesis of Three New bis(Amino-R-glyoximes) and Their Polymeric Metal Complexes

Abstract

In this study, three new unsymmetrical vic-dioximes, 1,2-phenylenebis(aminoglyoxime) L¹H₂, 1,2-phenylenebis(aminophenylglyoxime) L²H₂ and 1,2-phenylenebis(amino-p-tolylglyoxime) L³H₂ have been synthesized from anti-chloroglyoxime (CGH₂), anti-phenylchloroglyoxime (PCGH₂) and anti-p-tolylchloroglyoxime (PTCGH₂), and aromatic diamines. Their polymeric complexes with Ni(II), Cu(II) and Co(II) have been obtained. The Ni(II) and Cu(II) complexes of these ligands are squareplanar while the Co(II) complexes are octahedral with water molecules as axial ligands. ¹H NMR and IR spectra and elemental analyses data are given.
