Abstract
A straightforward and generalizable synthesis of metal-free (H2) and metal derivatives (M = Ni, Co or Zn) of a symmetrically tetrasubstituted phthalocyaninc derived from tetrathiooxaphthalonitrile is described. All of these complexes were insolublc in common solvents such as DMF, chloroform. ethanol and water. Structures are suggested based on clemcntal analyses, IR, NMR (only for interniadiates (I), (II) and (III)), UV-Vis spectroscopy and thermogravimetric analysis.
