Abstract
Random sequential packing in a small square is investigated. The packing density is evaluated and compared with the simulation. The results are significantly different from the square of the one-dimensional packing density. This reinforces simulation results for relatively large sizes, which indicate that Palasti's conjecture is false for R2.
