Abstract
[Cd2L](ClO4)(CH3OH), the first bicadmium(II) cryptate derived from weak nucleophilic addition to [Cd2L′], which was synthesized by [2+3] Schiff-base condensation of 2-aminoethyl-bi(3-aminopropyl)amine (ppe) with sodium 2,6-diformyl-4-methylphenolate (sdmp) in the presence of Cd(ClO4)2·6H2O, has been synthesized and characterized by single-crystal X-ray diffraction. The complex crystallizes in the triclinic system, space group P
