Abstract
A dinuclear complex Cu2(bpca)2(H2O)2(Ag2(CN)3) (1) and a 1D complex [Cu2(bpca)2(H2O)2(Au(CN)2)2] n (2) (bpca = bis(2-pyridylcarbonyl)amide anion) have been prepared, structurally characterized and 2 has been magnetically characterized. The magnetic properties show an antiferromagnetic interaction between the two Cu(II) ions. Based on the Hamiltonian Ĥ = −2J Σ (Si · Si +1), best fitting for the experimental data leads to J = −0.045 cm−1.
