Abstract
Under similar hydrothermal conditions, via using the mixed-ligand method, two 3-D coordination polymers (CPs) [Zn(HIPA)(bmimb)]n (1, bmimb = 1,4-bis(2-methyl-1H-imidazol-1-yl)benzene)) and [Cu2(HIPA)2 (bmib)3]n (2, bmib = 1,4-bis(1H-imidazol-1-yl)benzene) were fabricated based on the reaction of Zn(NO3)2·6H2O or Cu(NO3)2·3H2O with 5-(hydroxymethyl)isophthalic acid (H3IPA) when N-donor co-ligands were present. The compounds were evaluated to improve the learning and memory impairment in epilepsy mice and the relationship between the mTOR signaling pathway and epilepsy is discussed. To determine the influence of 1 and 2 on epilepsy mice cognitive function, the Morris Water Maze Test was performed. The mTOR signaling pathway expression levels were then detected with western blot.
