Abstract

Metal-Organic Frameworks (MOFs) are a class of porous coordination polymers with high specific surface areas and adjustable pore sizes. In recent years, MOFs have been widely used in the fields of adsorption, biomedicine, organic synthesis and separation due to their unique electronic structure and tunable regular pores. However, commercialization of Cu-MOFs remains a significant technical challenge due to issues such as low thermal stability, synthesis difficulty, and dynamic stability. Cu-MOFs possess excellent adsorption and catalytic properties, which make them promising materials for gas storage, separation and purification, sensing, and environmental remediation. In this review article, recent research progress in Cu-MOF-based materials is overviewed, including their preparation routes, crystal structures, as well as their latest applications in the fields of catalysis, gas adsorption, biomedicine, and organic synthesis.
