Radial Distribution Functions In Liquids And Fractal Aggregates

Pages 145-154 | Received 15 May 2001, Accepted 30 May 2003, Published online: 02 Sep 2006

Abstract

This article describes the current understanding of molecular arrangements in the liquid state and how they can be related to fractal aggregates. A simple model of cluster fractal geometry is found an approximation to the real fluid. More complex approaches using the multifractal function and experimental measurements are more practical for the study of fractal aggregates in liquid. The critical state is a special example where the fractal behavior is shown through the critical exponents.
