Abstract
We present a case study to analyze the bibliographic references used in the scientific production on psychology in Scopus of the four universities that make up a library consortium in Spain and compare this with downloads of journals included in the Springer, Elsevier, Wiley, and Emerald big deals subscribed to by this consortium. A majority use journals scribed to through the big deals is observed, at the level of both downloads and citations, although with a weak correlation between the two variables.
