Pages 177-184 | Published online: 20 Sep 2013

Abstract

Foreword—In 1960, the IES published a “Practical guide to colorimetry” as an aid to measuring or determining the color appearance (chromaticity) of light sources. Since that time, new photometric techniques have been developed and the use of computers has been introduced. The new guide was developed to reflect current development in colorimetry.
