Abstract
The increasing use of “flat glass” lumlnaires in general roadway lighting prompts their comparison against conventional units. Using computer techniques, comparisons are made of glare, visibility, and economics, for a number of fixtures of each type. The results show the unique strengths and weaknesses of each type.
