When the above article was first published online, several errors occurred throughout the article.

The errors are as follows:

- Page 2, seventh line from the top: “First, they hold that strategic studies, etc.” [delete “his sophisticate game theoretic inspiration”]

- Starting page 8 there is a discrepancy between the footnotes numbers indicated in the text and the actual footnotes at the bottom of the page. On p. 8 footnote number 23 is indicated in the text but the actual footnote can be found on page 9. This continues throughout the article.

- Page 24 “Funding” section: delete “This work was supported by the S. Rajaratnam School of International Studies, Nanyang Technological University”. The author did not receive any specific funding for this research.

- Page 25 the reference to Barkawi, Tarak (2016) comes alphabetically before Barkin.

- Page 26 Browning and Matt Macdonald.

- Page 29: the reference to “Jr. Summers and G. Harry” is incorrect. It should be: Summers, G. Harry Jr.

- Page 32: the reference to “Paul, Kapur S.” is incorrect. It should be: Kapur, Paul S.

- Page 33: the reference to Sartori: the title of the book Deterrence by Diplomacy should be italicized.

- Page 33: the reference to the article of Scheipers: the title of the journal European Journal of International Security should be italicized.

- Page 33: the reference to “Shang-Su Wu” is incorrect. It should be: Wu, Shang-Su.

- Page 34: the reference to “Vennesson (2011)” should be “War without the people”.

These have now been corrected in both the online and print versions.
