Abstract
Electrostrictive deformation of ferroelectric Pb[(Fe1/3Sb2/3) x Ti y Zr z ]O3 ceramics with x + y + z = 1 x = 0.1 and y = 0.43–0.48 ceramics has been investigated. Strain of the order of 10−5 is shown to be solely of electrostrictive origin. The strain dependence on the Ti content is presented and discussed. Moreover, the electrostrictive coefficients Q 11 are calculated and shown to be constant over measured temperature range and take values typical for the ferroelectric and antiferreoelectric materials of perovskite structure: Q 11 changes from 2 × 10−2 to 1.2 × 10−2 m4 C−2.
