Surface modification of porous silicon with mesogenic moieties

Abstract

The liquid crystal monolayer was obtained on Si (100) wafer using a hydrosilylation reaction catalyzed by Pt compounds. The chemical modification of the surface of silicon wafer was characterized using the attenuated total reflection IR spectroscopy and X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy. The silicon surface texture was evaluated with atomic force spectroscopy and high-resolution scanning electron microscopy.
