Abstract
High-temperature X-ray diffraction investigations of structural transitions in Cu and Ag ternary chalcogenides have been carried out. The specimens come under two groups: in the first group the quantitative relation of the cations is changed (Ag1.5Cu0.5Se, Ag0.5Cu1.5Te); in the second one the anions are isomorphically substituted (AgCuSe0.5Te0.5, AgCuS0.5Te0.5). All the crystals have an orientation “memory”, which recovers their original orientation.
