Abstract

A relationship between the peak flow stress and the positron trapping rate has been found during the hardening stage in polycrystalline copper cyclically deformed at 500 K. This relationship coincides with that predicting the vacancy fraction created by jog dragging. It is concluded that clusters of these vacancies should be the main positron traps.
