ABSTRACT

In this commentary, I argue that Lived Experiences of Multiculture makes a significant contribution to analyses of contemporary urban diversity, particularly in its innovative comparative research design and strong place-based analysis. However, I suggest that it needs a more thorough analysis of the forms and qualities of sociality at stake in everyday multiculture, which will help us think through the potential compatibility of the concepts of conviviality and community.
