As with all fields of scholarship and research the outbreak of the global Covid-19 pandemic has had both a direct and indirect impact on scholarship and research in the core fields covered by our journal. For this reason, we as Editors of Ethnic and Racial Studies would like to open up the opportunity for the publication of a series of short debate articles on the impact of the Covid-19 pandemic in relation to race, racism and ethnicity. There are no predetermined issues to cover. We are interested in showcasing short articles, up to 4000 words, addressing key facets of the pandemic’s impact on racial minorities, communities across the globe as well as on issues linked to the journal’s scope and objectives. Submissions will be considered via our normal peer review process in an expedited manner in order to publish this series as a Special Section as quickly as possible. We would like initial submissions for consideration to be submitted by 15 July 2020 via https://mc.manuscriptcentral.com/rers
We very much hope this will be of interest to readers of the journal and if you would like to raise any questions with us please get in touch – [email protected]
