The interatomic interaction potential dependence on the projectile velocity v is discussed on the basis of the theory proposed by the author in previous papers. It is shown that experimental results on the energy stopping power dependence for I ionschanneled in the (III) channel of gold crystal, reported by Appleton et al., confirm the theoretical predictions.
