ABSTRACT

Cogeneration or combined heat and power (CHP) is the simultaneous production of thermal and electric energies. Usually, CHP is used in residential loads to supply both kinds of energies. To modify daily load curve and shift demands to off-peak times, demand response programmes (DRP) are introduced. By utilising DR programmes, the possibility of interruption can be reduced. In this paper, reliability indices are considered as system uncertainties. Furthermore, several types of demand response (DR) are employed in the objective function. The planning problem, in this paper, has been solved as an operational horizon. All of the simulations have been carried out using MATLAB software. Moreover, GAMS software is used to solve the optimisation problem. Furthermore, a GAMS tool called SCENRED is employed to reduce the number of scenarios and problem complexity.
