Abstract
This present study is to find the outshot of nanofluid coolants for the investigation in the present scenario by the nanoparticle addition. The thermophysical properties, which contain base fluid, are affected and confirmed by the systematic measurements. A particular nanofluid, namely 0.2% of carbon nanotubes (CNT), immersed in de-ionised water along with 0.15% of Al2O3 and surfactant to an experimental study of commercial herringbone-type plated heat exchanger. The new sequel data confirmed that the physical properties of the nanofluid as a coolant are changed, affecting the heat exchanger performance. This also proves beneficial in heat exchanging where huge volumes of conventional fluids are needed and thus the replacement by nanofluids seems very fortunate.
