ABSTRACT
This paper proposes a method based on the circular track synthetic aperture radar (CSAR) mode to directly obtain the digital elevation model (DEM) information of the target area through single-circle observation data. This paper improves and innovates the existing methods by using sub-aperture correlation. The circular motion trajectory of the entire radar observation platform is divided into multiple overlapping sub-aperture arcs. Each sub-aperture is projected in the height direction to observe the position deviation of the sub-aperture images more intuitively at different heights. Then, a new calculation method is used to calculate the correlation coefficient between sub-apertures, which enhances the accuracy of extracting DEM results. Finally, the measured data of the Ku band recorded by us are used to verify the effectiveness and accuracy of the algorithm proposed in this paper.
