Abstract

Retracted Article: The effect of maternal gestational diabetes on maternal and neonatal outcomes in twin pregnancies: A systematic review and meta-analysis

We, the Editor and Publisher of Journal of Obstetrics and Gynaecology, have retracted the following article:

Yuejuan Wang & Xuhui Zhu (2022). The effect of maternal gestational diabetes on maternal and neonatal outcomes in twin pregnancies: A systematic review and meta-analysis. Journal of Obstetrics and Gynaecology, 42 (7), 2592–2602. https://doi.org/10.1080/01443615.2022.2112558

Since publication, significant concerns have been raised about the validity of the conclusions reported in this study. Specifically in Table 1, when describing the results of Hiersch et al. the study erroneously included the results from the singletons group instead of the twins group. When approached, the authors have not responded to questions about the concerns raised. As verifying the validity of published work is core to the integrity of the scholarly record, we are therefore retracting the article, and the authors have been informed.

We have been informed in our decision-making by our editorial policies and COPE guidelines.

The retracted article will remain online to maintain the scholarly record, but it will be digitally watermarked on each page as ‘Retracted’.
