We, the Editors and Publisher of the journal Journal of Obstetrics and Gynaecology, have retracted the following article:

The authors were contacted and, while they cooperated with the investigation and confirmed there were errors present in the article, they were unable to address the concerns raised. As verifying the validity of published work is core to the integrity of the scholarly record, we are therefore retracting the article. The corresponding author listed in this publication has been informed.
