ABSTRACT
Monitoring Trichoderma biocontrol agents when applied to the field for crop protection involved the development of rapid, simple, reliable and strain-specific tools. DNA-based methods as RAPD- PCR combined with the strain benomyl resistance were used to improve the identification of a T. atroviride biocontrol agent. A 3000 bp-sized specific RAPD amplification band was generated using the primer OPC8. The biocontrol strain was then inoculated in soil and could be recovered and identified 4 months later using this technique.
