In this correction, we provide clarification on the fact that two scales of the same name were produced in the same time period. Shanna Kattari, the author of the article acknowledges that there may be some confusion related to the scale name mentioned in her article “The Development and Validation of the Ableist Microaggression Scale” published online October 25, 2018 in the Journal of Social Service Research. The author acknowledges, that prior to publishing her dissertation in 2017 upon which the scale was developed, the same name for the scale with a slightly different purpose was published in a 2015 dissertation and a 2017 article in The Counseling Psychologist by Dr. Kristin J. Conover. This measurement scale, although it has the same name, has a slightly different purpose. Dr. Kattari extends her apologies to the other author and the readership for any confusion caused by utilizing the same scale name. To avoid any further confusion, Dr. Kattari will modify and/or change the name and any future references to her scale to Ableist Microaggression Inventory (AMI-65).
