ABSTRACT
Nanofiltration, one of the effective water-purification technologies, can have a certain adsorption effect on two typical antibiotics sulfamethoxazole and azithromycin. In this paper, the effects of operating pressure, temperature, pH value and initial feed concentration on the adsorption during nanofiltration of the two antibiotics were investigated. The results showed that the adsorption rate of two antibiotics by nanofiltration was 40%−99%. The temperature had a significant effect on the adsorption. The change of pH would affect the nature of antibiotics, while pressure only affected the flux. Changing the initial feed concentration might lead to a critical point in the adsorption rate.
